Plasma Fibroblast Aftercare Instructions

  • Avoid Touching or Picking at the Treated Area: Refrain from touching, scratching, or picking at the small dots (carbon crusts) that form after treatment. These scabs will fall off naturally within 5-10 days, and premature removal may cause scarring or infection.
  • Keep the Treated Area Clean and Dry: Gently cleanse the treated area with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser twice a day. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing. Pat the area dry with a clean towel—do not rub.
  • Apply Aftercare Products as Directed: Use any aftercare creams or ointments provided or recommended by your practitioner to promote healing and protect the skin. Solugel can be applied 3-4 times a day along with saline clean to keep the area in the most sterile condition
  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect the treated area from direct sunlight for at least 6-8 weeks post-treatment. Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher, and consider wearing a wide-brimmed hat or using an umbrella for additional protection.
  • Avoid Hot Water and Heat: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs for at least 7 days post-treatment. Heat can exacerbate redness, swelling, and irritation.
  • Do Not Use Makeup Until the Scabs Fall Off: Avoid applying makeup to the treated area until all scabs have naturally fallen off. Applying makeup too soon can cause irritation and increase the risk of infection.
  • Avoid Exercise and Sweating: Avoid intense exercise, heavy sweating, and any activities that could cause overheating for 72 hours after the treatment to reduce the risk of irritation.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and support the healing process.
  • Avoid Alcohol, Caffeine, and Smoking: Limit alcohol, caffeine, and avoid smoking for at least 72 hours post-treatment, as these can dehydrate the skin and slow the healing process.
  • Be Prepared for Mild Discomfort : It is normal to experience redness, swelling, and mild tenderness in the treated area for the first 3-7 days.
  • Do Not Use Exfoliating Products or Treatments Avoid any exfoliating products or treatments, including retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, scrubs, and chemical peels, for at least 4 weeks post-treatment to allow your skin to fully heal.
  • Sleep on Your Back: If the treated area is on your face or neck, try to sleep on your back with your head elevated to minimize swelling and avoid pressure on the treated area.
  • Be Patient with Results: Full results may take up to 8-12 weeks to appear as your skin regenerates and produces new collagen. Follow the recommended treatment plan and aftercare guidelines for the best outcome.
